 The
MIST software is used for re-calibration and re-scaling of the MIST
sensor. Two methods of calibration are available. The first one,
called "One point calibration", is performed by setting the MIST to
a known temperature and adjusting the 4-20 mA output to the
corresponding value. The second method, called "Two points
calibration", is performed by setting the MIST to a known point in
the operating range and then record this point by simply clicking on
the corresponding button. The next step is to set the MIST to a
second known point in the operating range and record in the same
manner. Finally, by clicking on the "Process" button, the
calibration parameters are automatically calculated and saved in the
MIST memory.
The MIST software can also be used to re-scale
the MIST sensor output in its operation limits. A choice of many
pre-scaled values are offered, as well as a custom range. Once the
range is selected, by simply clicking on the "Set" button the output
of the MIST is automatically re-scaled and the new values are saved
in the MIST memory.
